What is SSD?

An SSD or solid-state drive is a storage device used in a computer. This nonvolatile storage medium stores persistent data on solid-state flash memory. SSDs replace traditional hard disk drives (HDDs) in your computer and perform the same basic functions as hard disk drives. But by contrast, SSD is much faster. With SSD, the operating system of the device will start more rapidly, the program loading speed and the file saving speed will be faster.
